Pluckk, a fresh produce foodtech startup backed by Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor, is targeting a significant growth milestone. The company closed FY24 at Rs 100 crore ARR.
New Delhi: Kareena Kapoor-backed fresh produce food tech company Pluckk is eyeing to double its topline and reach the Rs 200 crore annual run rate by the end of this fiscal, shared the company’s CFO Nelson Dsouza. The company closed FY24 at Rs 100 crore ARR.
“We’ve achieved this in a much shorter time and profitably. This approach has helped us to get better positioning in the market as a company which is on track for its targets and that too profitably,” said Dsouza.
Founded in 2021, Pluck is a farm-to-fork fruit and vegetable player. The company drives about 20 per cent of orders via its website while the majority come from marketplaces such as Blinkit, Zepto, Amazon, and Swiggy. In the next 2 years, the startup is eyeing a 25 – 30 per cent share from offline channels, especially modern trade.
Pluckk in 2022 raised USD 5 million in seed funding and plans to hit the market again for external fundraising at an appropriate time, Dsouza commented.
The company which started with fresh fruits and vegetables, recently expanded its portfolio with the launch of fresh juices, salads, and dips. Last year, it acquired food-tech startup, Kook, which sells DIY meal kits.
The CFO said that the company is evaluating its foray into two new categories and is also open to acquisition opportunities to expand its portfolio.
Pluck is currently operational across Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore and is ramping up its presence in Pune. “We’re also evaluating a few other cities in the south and the east. There are plans of expanding our presence in more locations.”
