The new state-of-the-art application lab for Sweet Goods & Beverages in Bangalore to accelerate localised innovation and strengthen customer collaboration across South Asia, Middle East and Africa region.

Givaudan, a global leader in flavours, fragrances, and wellbeing solutions, has announced the inauguration of its new Sweet Goods & Beverages application lab in Bangalore, reinforcing its innovation capabilities and customer support across the region.

The new facility complements Givaudan’s existing operations in Mumbai and Gurgaon and is designed to accelerate localised innovation across key categories including bakery, confectionery, dairy, and beverages. Operational since May 2026, the lab was officially inaugurated by Antoine Khalil during his visit to India.

Speaking on the development, Antoine Khalil said “India continues to be a strategic growth market for Givaudan, where the company has maintained a presence for more than five decades. He noted that the new Bangalore lab reflects the company’s long-term commitment to the country and strengthens its ability to respond more rapidly to evolving consumer preferences”.

According to Khalil, the facility combines culinary expertise, advanced application capabilities, and scientific know-how to support co-development of differentiated food and beverage solutions for customers across India as well as the wider South Asia, Middle East, and Africa region.

The new application lab is equipped with advanced technologies that enable customers to move efficiently from concept development to final application. Through hands-on co-creation, rapid prototyping, and real-time testing, the facility is expected to shorten development cycles and deliver solutions tailored to specific market requirements.

The company stated that the lab will support faster turnaround times while enhancing collaboration with regional customers and partners.

Located in Bangalore, one of India’s leading technology and innovation centres, the facility benefits from proximity to FMCG headquarters, research and development centres, and technology partners.
